The Intersection of Baltimore Street and Gay Street, Baltimore Md., circa 1923 Postcard

This painting is from 1923, it is a view of Baltimore Street from the corner of Gay Street looking West. Most of the building facades look exactly the same today as they did in this painting. This street is now the home of Baltimore's red-light district. The lamp post on the right front is just about where the 2 o`clock Club was built. This infamous strip club is where Blaze Starr performed and ultimately inspired the Hollywood motion picture BLAZE, starring Paul Newman.
