"What's New" Archives

I
decided to create this site not only as a showcase for my Web Design skills,
but also because I thought I needed a web presence. Why do I need a web
presence? Read more.... Well, It's 2010. I have spent most of my waking moments last year devoted
to the playing of the game GUILD WARS. That much will be evident to anyone
who checks the 2009 archive page. This year,
no resolutions, no promises. I will not be trying to finish the Diablo
II items pages, since it appears that no one was going there to begin
with. IF anyone really is waiting for stuff that is not yet added or updated,
E-mail me and I'm sure I can send it to you. Otherwise, it's a dead section.
Oh, I'll leave it up...but I don't plan on finishing it. |

Welcome to the Year of the Tiger! The lady shown to the left [ Defiler of Soulz ] is not a Tiger, but she has the heart of one. She is a Level 20 Necromancer/Mesmer and her Bio will be posted soon. Stay tuned! IF I can get the damned thing to work, I do plan on putting up a poll for you to vote on. I'll keep you in the loop as to weather or not it's going to happen. Hopefully I can get it working. I think it will be fun. |

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! - The Year of the TIGER has officially begun. Below you can see the Character [Bleed the Seed (in Dragon mask)] attending the Canthan New Year celebration in the along with 99 of his closest friends. The cute little blonde to left this month [ Debbie Does Derv ] is a low level Dervish who I use primarily to mule Inscriptions for my account. On occasion she will run a simple mission for Z-Coins, but that only happens every few months. Still working on the poll setup, it's proving to be a real bitch. Stay tuned. |

It's March 31st ~ 11:50 p.m. as I am making this entry, so I can honestly say that I posted an update during the month of March. I'll try not to wait so long to get the April one up. The toon of the month is Bleed the Seed (to the left ), I have mentioned him already (just above) and probably will again. This is because he is my main guy, my tank, the character who has gone farthest in all 3 of the continents. The background pic is one I just captured while in The Great Temple of Balthazar, someone who has 7 different accounts running at the same time, has all 7 loaded and dancing in synch. I can do it with 2 [the Twins], but multiples of 7 - 8 - 9...are really incredible to watch. |

April has been a slow month so far, both on the gamefield and off. Kaitlin Ti ( One of the original characters,in the background pic - close to 5 yrs old now ) has finally broken through into the other gaming areas. What took so long? I let her sit in Ascalon. Now with the introduction of Zaishen Coins given for completion of daily missions, it's advantageous to have as many characters as possible having access to as many areas as possible. SO...I moved her along to Lion's Arch and hopped a boat to Kamaden. This is important. I'll just leave it at that. I said that Kaitlin is one of my original almost 5 yr. old toons, Jennifer Ti ( to the left in green nightie ) is the other. Both will hit the 5 year mark sometime around January or February 2011. April 28th is the 5th anniversary of Guild Wars, but I didn't get into it until 6 months or so after release. |

ArenaNet threw a birthday bash for GW's 5th birthday! 9 days of Special Birthday Cupcake drops, Boardwalk games in Cantha and the release of the new 5th Year series of Mini Pets. My main toon Bleed the Seed managed to get his Lucky title up to [ Prosperous (4) ], which has the effect of helping to retain lockpicks longer. It cost me a LOT of Gold though.....almost 150k to get to 500,000 games won ( the requisite for R4 lucky tile). The next level [ Golden (5) ] with a requisite 1,000,000 games won is going to bankrupt me! In case you're wondering about the background screen-cap, this furry fellow is a Charr. A Charr leader in fact named Bonfaaz Burntfur. He and the Charr are one of the Bad guys in the game. A real nasty S.O.B. when you're low level, he's just a pussycat later when you get to level 16 and higher. The gentleman with the shiny dark pate and gray beard to the left is Laki Grimsvotin, my only Warrior character. Character Bios coming soon. Oh, I've also added a couple of pix of a feral kitten, Ginger, that I rescued and took the the local shelter. Very cute little girl. There was another one too, her brother Fred, but I didn't think to take any pictures of him. Check out a couple of new Cat Pix (Kindle and Clove) in the Pets section. |

Well, as with so many other things lately, it seems that I have (at least for the moment) burned out on Guild Wars. It's unfortunate since I decided to turn the format of the site to an all Guild Wars all the time. Last month's ladies are the Pre-searing based Mistress Lilly Anne and Lilly Phoenix Ten (green mask). Lilly Phoenix Ten is a disposable character whose number changes as I use her to shuttle items and money up to Post-searing. Once you leave Pre you can't go back. I am on the tenth incarnation right now, and until I decided to take a break from the game, her number by now would have probably gone up to 12 or 13 by now. I have recently been playing a web based game called Immortal Nights. Although I have been playing it regularly, I don't recommend it to anyone. It's main flaw is the creators/administrators refusal to provide ANY technical information. The money system is unbelievably stupid ( $1,000,000 for a lower class weapon) and they simply will not make any changes for the better. When repeatedly asked to provide information about Armor Classes or Weapons the standard answer is "The more it costs, the better it is". This, in my opinion, is simply NOT an acceptable answer. The main goal of the game that they have created seems to be to sell you "donator packs", which allow you to advance more rapidly though the game. Forget about any significant changes, they simply won't do it UNLESS it gets them more of your hard earned dollars. WHY then, do I continue to play? Because I got suckered in before I really understood all of this. I purchased a $25 donator pack (180 days ) and I plan to use every day of it, then give all the stuff away that I have earned/purchased/found and stop playing. This is so severely against the rules that it will immediately earn me a long stay in the Pit of Despair (you can't play while there...BFD). Like I care. Oh, BTW, the deadly lady this month is named Satan's Lil Porkchop. I just love the name and had to mention it to you. |
