"What's New" Archives

I decided to create this site not only as a showcase for my Web Design skills, but also because I thought I needed a web presence. Why do I need a web presence? Read more.... The Screenshot above is of my Guild Wars Necromancer/Mesmer Character "Bleed the Seed". He has been quite busy and has recently achieved Level 19 ( out of a possible 20 ). If you want to blame anyone for the lack of updates to this site, blame HIM! Baaad Necromancer!! Baaaaad Necromancer!!! Does anyone think that setting up a table for the Archives section 15 years into the future is a bit, oh I don't know, wishful thinking on my part? I mean since I can't seem to get regular monthly updates done, what hope do I really have of this site surviving until the year 2021? Only time will tell. |

| January `07 | As I finally sit down to write this update, my phone service is out and my FTP program will not connect to the Internet ( even if it was available to me, which of course, it isn't) due to my careless deletion of some shared files when cleaning up a bunch of Spyware programs that I found on my hard disk Drive. This condition has existed for quite some time now (the FTP thing, not the phone outage) and as it is not an excuse for not updating the site for nearly a year, it does in some small way explain what has been going on. I'll try to put down the Online game that I'm still playing ( GuildWars - see What's New 2006 ) and try to devote some of my time and effort to this site. Hopefully I'll have this up before the start of NEXT month. We'll see...Oh, and in case you missed it, HI CHARLES! |

| April `07 | OK, with much thanks to my beautiful wife Penny ( Happy Birthday Penny!!), I have figured out exactly why I could not get my FTP program to connect to the Net. Now that it's been corrected, I will be uploading all of the updates to the site that I've been working on since, well...forever! Stay Tuned. If you see any pages or sections of the site which had previously been working fine, suddenly stop working or displaying incorrectly, please let me know. I have done so much tweaking that I may have to re-upload the entire site just to make sure that I get all of the newer pages & graphics in place. I'm hoping not to have to do this, but I may have to. |

| July `07 | My computer died of a, as yet unknown, Virus last month. I've been scrambling to get as much data off of the HD before I make any attempts to fix it. In the meantime, my lovely wife has donated her desktop PC to allow me to carry on. I have updated the PETS section of the site to reflect the 12 Cats ( you read that correctly, 12 cats) that we are now taking care of. In addition to the new ones, I've scanned and added several dozen pics of the older kitties. Since this PC is incapable of playing my Guild Wars game, I will be devoting a lot more time to this web site. I needed a break anyway, it was starting to get a little bit boring. I hope you enjoy the new pictures & I'll be adding more content as quickly as I can. |

| November `07 | Tomorrow is Thanksgiving day, and I thought that I should probably write something here before the end of the month. I am currently re-vamping the Diablo 2 Items, by adding a Search feature. This will take the form of a downloaded Javascript (.JS) file to your computer. It does nothing other than contain the data for the D2 items pages. IF you do not allow .JS files to be downloaded to your PC, the new search feature WILL NOT work! I decided on a client-side search, rather than a server-side one simply because it is much faster. That, along with a house guest, is what has kept my updates for the last 2 months from appering on a more regular schedule. Thanks to my recent house geust (my Mother!), I am now learning to play the electric guitar, something that I have wanted for many years now. Also, MY computer is back in the shop and should be back on it's feet soon. I needed to takea break from my game, and now I've had it (for 8 months!). GUILD WARS here I come!! And finally, as an early X-mas present, check out the new funny holiday pics in the Photo Gallery. |
